The Top 5 Domain Registrars

I’m always on the hunt for cheap domain names and whether you’re building an online empire to rule over the internet or are merely looking to build a personal page to represent you or your business I’m sure you’d like your domain name registration to be as cheap and trouble free as possible.

Here I’ve reviewed what I consider to be the top 5 domain name registrars based on price, customer service and ease of use, domain reviews below:

1. GoDaddy.com

Most of my business is online so selecting a domain, hosting, ssl certifiicates, domain security, etc which is required to keep my business going was a very tough job. I found all my online requirements on GoDaddy.com . First I purchased my domain name and I was so impressed by their interface and support that I decided to buy other services from GoDaddy. The prices are extermely reasonable and the quality of service they provide is simply amazing. I never worry about my online identity security as I use GoDaddy services. I would recommend GoDaddy.com to others.
Purely for domain names, Godaddy are hands down the cheapest on the internet.

2. Domain.com

I have been with domain.com for years and have stayed with them as I find it very easy to set up domains and love their live chat. The customer support is great. You are never waiting for more than a few minutes for any questions to be replied to and there are very few bugs which make for nice, smooth operation.

3. Netfirms.com

Netfirms had me up and running with a Website and Blog in literally minutes. Servers were fast, setup was easy. What’s really cool is their Grid Hosting feature which I understand they were amongst the first to develop. I bought the Netfirms Business hosting plan which includes toll-free customer service, 5 free domains and Windows and Unix hosting features all one on plan. I used their support services to get help on domain transfers and spoke to a friendly rep who pointed me to the right spot on the control panel. To top it all off, the included 5 free domain name registrations are free for as long as you host with the Netfirms Business plan. I moved 3 domains over using the Control Panel. I give them a 9/10 for overall value.

4. Easyspace.com

Easyspace can offer it all: domain names, email services, web design, website building and hosting. The Easyspace website builder is based on HTML, and comes free with all web hosting packs. It’s not the cheapest, but in recent years Easyspace has built a good reputation for support.
I really like Easyspace and their site builder is very decent. It’s been around for years, and they make it easy to buy. There is great support and I think that accounts for a lot these days. I’d recommend them purely for that if nothing else.

5. 1and1.com

1and1 customer service is the best I have come across in any organisation. They answer the phone, are knowledgeable and take your issue seriously. They respond to emails quickly and have a clear and transparent billing process.
The hosting itself is the best I have ever come across. The range of features, free software and services is unbeatable. The uptime is faultless and server speed is fast, even if you have a really basic account. I particularly love the fact that you can easily manage multiple domains from one control panel on a shared file system.
I have been with them for 14 months while my business has expanded and their service has been flawless throughout.
